Wildwood Sanitarium - 9/13/2025

Wildwood Sanitarium was built in the 1920's and was used as a Tuberculosis sanatorium for a period of time. The facility was designed to provide a serene environment for patients suffering from the disease. The architecture featured large windows and open spaces, intended for fresh air and sunlight which at the time was vital for TB treatments. As time went on Wildwood transitioned into a mental health facility in the mid 20th century. It operated as a psychiatric hospital housing patients with various mental health issues until its closure in the 1970's where it sat abandoned for numerous years. The combination of its history as a medical facility and the stories surrounding its former patients makes for an eerie good time.
